4 Ways to Kick Boredom

Have you had a very boring day, I mean full blown lethargic, nothing doing, fun-less day, Or the kind that although you performed all required activities (work, school, ...) which happens to be the same activities you do every day, and its beginning to bore you literally to death.

Here are 4 ways you can kick boredom in your life.

1. Have a plan: Your life is made up of days, so a wasted day is a wasted life; a successful day is a successful life. I have realized that when you never plan, even the seemingly fun activities lack fulfillment. Even if you wish to rest, plan the rest, it gives you a sense of control. Be flexible, but have a plan for your day.

2. Break the routine: There are activities in our lives that we have to do every day; the food, work, what we wear, routes we follow to work or school.... A major part of our lives are repeated actions and can become monotonous. Therefore every now and then, alter your routines so your brain does not get dormant performing the same actions.

3. Do something different: Every once in a while, do something totally different, something outside of your regular program or routine activities. Go through your old pictures and hook up with an old forgotten friend, go swimming in the middle of the day, cook an exotic meal or go to an expensive restaurant, play catch with your friends. To really keep it spiced, plan one new or different activity each week.

4. Discover Company: In these times of 'gizmo mania', there is always a good app that can take the place of human company. Folk spend more time and attention pinging and surfing than they do talking to actual humans beings. But have you realized that there is something about the blood that runs in a human vein that allows for two people to sit for hours, sometimes without talking and yet not be bored with each other. The beauty of communication is response and its 60% body language, (smileys don't count).  Everyone needs a friend!
